These words get under my skin...

Posted by   + Show Post
Decadent.....I only dislike this word because of the way it is said. The D, the C, the second D and the the T.....it is just too much. Too much mouthy sounds. Lol

Heinie (sp?) not sure if that's right. (another word for bottom, butt or whatever you call it) this word makes me cringe. Ick!!

Any words that make you laugh, cringe, or just get really uncomfy.

This post is meant to be light hearted and fun.

hmmm...I can only think of one word that gets under my skin and I dont even want to write it.  Other than that words have never bothered me.  I like them all, except the one.

Well now I'm extra curious.
Does it rhyme with something?
What the first and last letter?
What does the word mean???

It rhymes with bigger.  I very much dislike that word.  Besides that one though, I totally love all words : )

When saying hello to someone, they reply back "Hey There". Idk why but it has a condescending tone to me!

The way my MIL pronounces a lot of words drives me insane. She says "cheer" when she means "chair", she says "warsh" instead of "wash", calls the toilet a "ter-let". Just redneck slang, I guess, but it drives me nuts! lol

Discomfort, smegma, the dreaded "moist", oozing, ain't and when people say "I seen", that one really gets under my skin. Oh, and when people say "liberry" instead of library.

Comfortable. Pronouncing it properly just sounds so weird.

Dongle. For those who don't know, a dongle is the little thing you plug in to your computer to pick up the signal of a wireless mouse or other wireless device.

Some words only bother me when mispronounced though - like "axe" instead of "ask", etc.
