My DD got a note sent home yesterday

Yesterday, I noticed that in my kindergarten DD's behavior folder, she had an N (out of S, N or U) N means need improvement and it means that she had to sit out for 5 minutes of the 25 minute recess. With it, there was a note explaining that the child across from her still didn't bring his markers and she didn't want to share. They were only using 3 specific colors so to share back and fourth she would have to keep waiting to get her marker back so she could use that color. I am thinking about sending a note saying that it is unacceptable to mark her down because she didn't want to provide another child with supplies. She told me that the teacher called her selfish for not wanting to share. If she chooses to share, that is up to her but she shouldn't have to and she certainly shouldn't be in trouble if she doesn't. Also, I don't even like her sharing supplies because that's a good way to share germs too, we even got a note about it from her doctor's office how kids who don't share supplies at school get sick significantly less often. What would you do?

She should share.
And the germ thing...write that note...please...it's hilarious!!!
Quoting Anonymous:
Good grief.
I don't want to live in a planet with the kids some of you people raise.
Thanks for doing your part in making sure you raise an all-about-me brat. If she can't share a few markers, I can't imagine she would be selfless about bigger things.
Did you write a note to the other parent for not sending their child to school prepared?
Yes, they should be learning to share, but that teacher went about it all wrong.
The germ thing. You'll have to get over that real soon. Kids are germ incubators.
