I read this post about nightmares and I was wondering...
My brother died in a house fire when I was 9, so did my grandmother, my sister and I barely made it out alive because we were all the way on top, we had to jump out of the window.

Anyways, ever since I've been horrible very graphic and vivid nightmares. It always includes death of a person I love. Once my best friend shot herself in my car, another time my daughter drowned, my parents die in a car crash, my husband gets shot. And I ways have to watch them die...

Once or twice I've even dreamed that my brother is alive again...
So I googled it and according to Wikipedia I could have post traumatic stress syndrome... :(

You most likely do. I'd definitely recommend you see a Therapist. They'll be able to help you - a lot. I'm sorry. Good luck.

sounds like ptsd. luckily therapy is very helpful for that - look for exposure therapy.

I was a psych major sounds like ptsd see a psychologist for evaluation and get referral to a psychiatrist if you need meds but a psychologist has more training in diagnosing. Psychiatrist is 15 minute eval 45 med management psychologist is all eval

That sounds like classic ptsd. Therapy is really the only way to get past it. I'm sorry that happened to you and your family. :(

What's exposure therapy? I've never heard of that.

Ok, thanks. Now I've been living with this for 15 years, what Would've happened if I hadn't googled it and would've kept ignoring it?
