on work clothes? (per month, every few months, per yr)
what profession are you in?
what is part of your uniform/work outfit?
I will be going back to work in december... and my work wardrobe is out of date... ( I need to get a few new pants, new shoes and a few new tops/cardigans)
I work in retail. and we have a business casual dress code... I am on my feet a lot... and we are not allow to wear jeans, sweats, skirts, shorts, sneakers, heels flip flops. t shirts with saying on them., spegetti straps or strapless tops... unless we wear a cardi/sweater/jacket on top.
I like khaki and gray, too. You can pair just about anything with those.

I spend about 100 every couple of months. Getting the basics will cost you about 200. Start off with at least 3 pairs of pants. Black is easiest since they can be matched with pretty much anything. I love shopping at Khols for my work cloths.

Edit- the reason I'm holding my baby at work is because my hand pump broke that day and my husband was so kind as to bring my little girl to my work so I can feed her :)
My shirts are provided by work. I work child care for the Y.
Dress pants I buy 3 pairs a yr, usually at tax time.
Sneakers, I replace twice a yr.
I think last yr I spent like $100 from when I started back in mar 11 to when I started mat leave in dec 11 for everything from pants to shirts and cardis... and shoes...I went from a fast food job that we got a free uniform and only spent 50 bucks in one yr on shoes. to having to buy a bunch of nice tops... but now I dont fit most tops the same anymore..

I do some merchandising once in awhile, so I love the neutral colors for pants.

I like to have black and brown slacks. I only need one pair each because I rarely dress up but these go with just about everything.
