You must have used them to finance your ENTIRE education and possibly living expenses. That is 3x's mine and I paid for most of my classes out of pocket as I went.

My payments right now are about 190/month, but I have one loan on voluntary forebearance. If I include that, my loan payments add up to around 300/month. I had to finance a LOT, and I went to an out of state school. I sometimes wish I'd stayed in-state and gone to a school closer to home, but if I'd done that... well, I wouldn't have DD now. I would never have met DH.
124 a month. with 3K left to pay off. one of the only debts we have ever incured that we could not pay off right away.
never heard of a disability write off? dang that would rock
yep! My husband and I are doing Income Based Repayment because we can't afford the standard montly payment. Combined we owe over 120K in graduate loans. Our loans grew a lot since graduation due to the enormous interest fees that accrued over the years. Standard payment for us would've been $620/ month for both of us. Currently we pay $71 for my husband and $61 for myself/ month on those loans, which doesn't even cover interest. DH also has an undergraduate loan we are trying to get paid off soon to free up more funds. He pays $153/month on that one and he has about 5k left on that one...
