If you cant afford the child...

What do you think? If you cant afford to support your child(ren) alone (just you mom) than you shouldnt have him/her/them in your care. This means if you need child support to care for your kid(s) than the courts need to grant dad more time to care for them. Each parent covers the needs during their parenting time. Parent may opt for monetary pay if they do not want time with the child(ren) but this would make child support practically gone.

Granting a deadbeat dad more visitation doesn't mean he'll use it any more than having a support order means he'll actually pay the shit. And what if you got divorced because your ex is a coke head? Oh, just give the junkie more visitation time, that will be helpful. What if you don't live in the same state? Pretty sure more back and forth trips will only cost you money.

NEXT.

Bull shit. Both parents have an obligation to finacially support their children. I didn't make them by myself, I shouldn't have to support them by myself.

Ignorant post from a small-minded person who clearly hasn't thought out all the different situations that could come into play with this. Way to put things in black and white terms. I avoid comments like this because YOU NEVER KNOW SOMEONE ELSE'S SITUATION. It makes you look stupid.

I'm not even sure I understand what you mean... But I doubt I would agree with it.

Paying support & getting parenting time do not go hand in hand. Just because dad is not paying support doesn't mean I can withhold visitation. And just because he isn't getting his parenting time doesn't mean he doesn't have to pay support. In some states men who are not married to the mother of the child have no rights until he files for them. So a mom canfile for child support but that doesn't mean the dad is going to get any rights.

Child support shouldn't be gone.  It serves a purpose.  Adults need to handle their responsibilities.
