My sil and her bf think they might be pregnant. He just got out of jailback two months ago and their first baby was pretty much,they say, "a miracle". He was never supposed to have a child and she had had multiple miscarriages
The only thing is- they dont even have the money to buy a test from Dollar Tree
Now while part of me just is really flabbergasted at that,and also wondering why have another one when neither one of them have a job and well alist of other things,I am still excited for them. They have a cute little boy and he would be almost two when the baby was born- so they would be really close.
We are going down there this weekend and she is very excited,just bummed about having to wait until the first. I really dont like her that much as a person but I still like to do nice things for my inlaws every once in a while.
so, do I buy her one or not?
Why not? If you get one from Dollar Tree it's only a dollar, right? Would be a nice gesture.
Maybe you could find her a local crisis pregnancy center who could do the test for her for free before you get there. They can also hook her up with local resources to help her and her children financially.
Maybe after this baby is born she could consider Mirena or Implanon or something that goes in once and protects her for years.
Should you buy her a $1 test? Is that the question? Guess I am not sure why it IS a question. You have a buck you can part with and want to do so, what is the issue?
The bigger question is WTH aren't they being a lot more careful given their precarious financial position.
I would buy her one or take her to the health department where they can give her one for free.
