Then she was at work one day and ...
A baby started kicking!
She is pregnant and not even for sure how far. She said that her doctor told her that with the stage of menopause that she was in that she would only be able to get pregnant with fertility drugs or donor eggs. Wrong!
I'm also an AMA "Advanced Maternal Age" mother.
My doctor told me I was nuts to try for another one at my age. She said it would take months, if not a full year, and even then might need fertility drugs.
One month later, I was preggers!
I am happy and a bit cautious for your friend. I understand how hard it can be on an older mama's body to handle all of the late night feedings and early mornings. :(
oh no!! I would freak out also. I am in just about the same stage as she was.
that whole AMA stuff is nonsense. how do I suddenly become high risk just because I had a birthday? ridiculous.
