I posted earlier about my son having to go to urgent care for asthma which turned out to be pneumonia. (middle lobe) the doctor gave him scripts of an antibotic and a steriod and told me to get a pulse ox meter because when he was there his levels were on the low side. 89-92. When they let him go he was at 94. She never really explained what to do with it, and you know i never thought to ask cause i didn't really think..

Well, i got a cheap-o at walgreens. When i take my own it says 99..when dd does it 98. When dh does it 99..when ds does it 88, i did a treatment and it came up to 91 and then dropped back to 89.

o_O

so, should i be taking him  to the er? damnit, i was better off without this thing..it has me all paranoid and shit.  The stupid urgent clinic is closed (they closed at 8).

He never had a fever.

and he seems OK..

should i just ignore this thing and get my money back??

I don't know what to do.. lol.

Id think he's fine. Check his pulse with your fingers. Count for 1min

Do he have an inhaler? Low oxygen is normal with pneumonia , I would watch it really close. Hope you started the meds immediately.
