My mil, aunt in law, fil, have all insisted to watch me give birth. I've told them all no but mil is still insisting and says she will just show up and lie and harrass the nurses until they let her in. She says she wants to hold my twins before me. Her sister is an amatuer photographer and they say they want to take photos of me for Facebook. I've told them I don't want anyone taking photos of me right after birth because I have seen photos of new moms on Facebook still drugged out, exhausted and dirty and I don't want those photos to be on Facebook. If we want those photos, I only want us to be the only ones with a copy. Not bashing labor photography on Facebook, its just not for me. My mil has gone as far as threatening to kidnap the twins and my fil keeps asking me about breastfeeding. My aunt in law is the worse. She is a 40 year old virgin (I don't think she's even ever had a date or a kiss!) Who keeps giving me marriage, sex, parenting advice and childbirth advice. What the hell? She does work with kids as a min wage aide at the after school program but I'm a teacher with a masters degree!

Sorry, just had to rant. Sorry about typos, new cell phone

my DH's grandma tried the same crap with our first son and my nurses were really good about keeping her out because that's what they knew I wanted

I think your husband needs to have a serious chat with his family! Be strong, those nurses will not allow anyone in without your ok! This is yours and dh's special time...enjoy it

She can harass them all she wants... security will escort her out. Problem solved!
