S/o post: What age difference is unacceptable?

I was very interested in the age difference post. Since everyone seemed to have a problem with that age difference because she was a minor.

I was 18 and DH was 26 when we met. Was that unacceptable?  ( just wondering, we have been married for almost 15 years so it won't change anything)

My mother wasn't happy with the situation (he had children, I didn't etc) but I wasn't living at home when I met him, so her opinion, while it was valid. Didn't really have a bearing on what I was going to do.

As long as they are legal age and both consenting to the relationship have at it!

When both parties are over 18, age doesn't matter anymore.

It depends I guess. But for the most part as long as they are legal.

In my opinion, when one person is old enough to be the others parent, the line has been crossed.

Well, I guess you'd have an issue with my df, and all of my ex's.

If they are both adults than it doesn't matter.

Imo if you are 18 you shouldn't date over 30 in most cases because you really won't have much in common. After 30 I think it really doesn't matter but I don't think an 18yr old would be with someone 40+ for any reason but money.

And you're how old? You didn't mention your age.
However, I don't particularly have a problem with it. It doesn't affect me any. I just think it's gross for me.
