im not friends with her because shes on pa and i dont respect her anymore
Update: I'm not jealous. I have a masters degree and work hard to support myself on my own in an honest way. I don't mind helping people who can't work or who need to get back on their feet. Pa is not a lifelong lifestyle choice. It morally disgusts me to see someone take advantage of the system when she could work but doesn't want to. She tells people on Facebook that she's bullying the doctors and lying to them. I don't know if its true, just going off what she says. Before I delete her from Facebook, I'm going to send screen caps to the welfare office
I don't have a problem helping those who have been laid off or are truly disabled ( its not hard to fake it, I know many who admit to it) but I have a problem with people who are healthy and can work but don't want to. There are tons who do this. I've had to work hard for all I have. When I graduated from college and couldn't get a job, I took a ten dollar an hour job and got more certifications so I could get the good job I have today. I worked three jobs to pay for college on my own. I have a friend who is lying and bullying doctors to give her kids an autism diagnosis so she can get more pa. She freely admits that she is doing this and her kids are not autistic. Her and her husbad and three kids all have I pads, huge big screen 3d TVs, MacBook pros, have luxuries we cant afford like cable and spend money like water. I went grocery shopping with her and while I bought the store brand dollar bread, she got the five dollar fancy bread. When they go out, they don't go to the matinee like we do, they go to the most expensive theater during the most expensive showing and buy out the snack bar. We go out to eat once or twice a week, they go almost everyday and its not off the dollar menu. Stuff like that pisses me off and we aren't close anymore.
My hubby was roughly an hour north of Huntsvile, AL.

So are you a sahm on pa? Why aren't you able to work?
Quoting Anonymous:
I was like you had no clue there was pa, so when I was a teenage mother was literaly eating beans with chips lots of eggs and ramen noodles. I was also bouncing frim house to house then I got with my dh. He enrolled into school and I was sahm. We struggled still, but atleast I wasn't alone anymore. Our church would help us with food and told us bout fs. I applied and qualified and it has been a blessing. I also coupon and match prices at walmart I dont have cable either way have no time for it and have internet because dh needs it for school oh and this is his last year yey so excited. Oh I also like the store brand bread lol...
Quoting Anonymous:Personally I like the cheap bread better anyway.lol, I swear I really do!
im on PA, my husband and I are both full time students. He plays basketball ( its paying for his education), We have a daughter and there is a waiting list for vouchers, so I have to take online courses.
We just make the most of what we have, We dont have cable either, we're lucky to have internet! I clip coupons and we do lots of things to save money. I understand what your saying , some people are rude to us because we get PA ssince we're students. But thats alright, We both have 3 more years then we'll both be making really good money.
Lesson i've learned, never judge anyone. You dont know whats going on in there life, what could have happened, anything . Its hard if you've never been in a hard if youve never been there. I didnt know what food stamps where untill I got married and was on my own, Id never heard of medicaid, I'd never heard of section 8 either.
