If you can't afford your kids you shouldn't have had them in the first place...

Never mind that at the time you were married or had a full time job or something serious happened.  Never mind if you had some major health issue that changed things.  You should have used your psychic powers to foresee these obstacles and not had kids.  Geez ladies...don't you know anything.

I am one of the perfect ones.  I have a job and don't use PA.  But all that could change in a second....then I would be a horrible mom because I can't afford to give my kid the best of everything.

I understand people who have kids and end up in bad situations. Most do. It is the people who PLAN pregnancies or continue to have unprotected sex, while on welfare and while having no intention of getting off welfare.

The thought process usually implies that you should not have children if you can not afford them. Most people are sympothetic to a change in circumstance after a child is born. TTCing while not having any money, a job, a spouse or significant other, education, those type of things is what gets under peoples skin more so. IMO

Completely agree.  I had just read a response where someone made a comment about free lunch.  But in the OP they stated that the ex was deadbeat.  Obviously things were better at some point.

We were doing alright with our first two, and I had changed bc a couple months before getting pregnant with our third. My doctor said that everyone that used this bc had all had good results and little side effects. After having our third, we started struggling, and needed to get fs and medicaid. We were taking precautions, and still got pregnant. Now we're trying to dig ourselves out of a hole. Since medicaid paid for Essure, I had that done so that we will not be having anymore kids because we cant afford more.
