For those of you who use anti anxiety meds, can you tell me the one(s) you hae tried and if they worked, and side effects you have had on the drug. I have been trying to fight anxiety attacks on my own for the last year, but its a losing battle. I have never had anxiety or depression issues, until I went through divorce and after returning home from a long deployment. Please no bashing

Doc says maybe klonopin, paxil or zoloft can help. He says sometimes its a process of experimenting before getting it right, but im lost and still uneasy about taking drugs, but know that i need it

Yoga in the morning drink a lot of water zero caffeine minimal sugar and a 15 minute walk in the evening. It works if you do it everyday. Reduced my sress. I haven't had caffeine since nov 12 2009

Paxil was horrible, couldn't function at all.

Far more useful to learn to breathe through the attack, to utilize positive self talk, to recognize and head off triggers in advance, and to strengthen coping skills.
