Question: Is it ridiculous?

My dd (8) just joined pop warner cheerleading.
After we sign her up and pay the $125 to get her into it, they say "okay practices are 4 nights a week until school starts"
Last week they informed us that next week, when school starts it will "only" be three nights a week. The biggest kicker here is that you are only allowed 5 absentees (sp?). From Sept 1st - Oct 20th
Out of 21 practices you can only miss 5, if you go over that then you cannot compete.
Mind you, they've had 4 nights a week for the entirety of August.
My daughter has theatre, on Mondays and Weds, she has done theatre for a year now, and it is always on Mons and Weds. We still don't know what three days rehearsal is going to be, it is up to the specific coach. She is aware of dd's schedule.
Theatre decided practices will be from 5-7 (instead of 6-8 that it has been) and cheer will be moving to 6:15-8. I said awesome she will only miss 15-30 minutes depending on which location practice is at. Apparently if she isn't there for a full practice, she gets docked 1/2 practice.
I am considering telling her coach, look, just don't write her into the competition routine.
Her theatre group puts on an entire show in two months of two nights a week rehearsals, dance, dialogue, songs, spacing etc. Why does a 5 minute routine require so much more?
I also have three other kids, my son can't do his lego team because of her cheer rehearsals.
Do you think 3 nights a week and only being allowed to miss 5 practices is kind of ridiculous?
edit to add
So, there were no requirements given to us when we signed up.
She does two activities, theatre and cheer. ( I usually only let them do one, but she needs some physical activity)
Her friend (who also does theatre) talked her into joining Cheer. This mom told me " oh no, it is no problem at all, she can definitely do both." Turns out she is a coach, but not of my daughter's team.
Also, my son doesn't want to do anything, I was going to make him do lego group so he is doing SOMETHING. I want them each in one activity a season. He has all last year to himself, for soccer and baseball. He chose to do neither this season.
I also HATE cherrleading, and I just found out aside from the fact that I had to pay $125 to sign her up, and $60 for her uniform, I also have to pay to get into the stupid games
