Cause he was acting like a spoiled brat.

Now I feel like shit and I wanna cry.

Being a mom is hard.

We used to be like that, but since I started dayshift and am home for bedtime he's gotten one every night.

I feel so mean.

That's the ultimate form of punishment for my son. He DEPENDS on his story every night. We have hundreds of books (his grandma is a librarian). I have only had to take it away once, on a night he was extremely bad, and I've never had to do it since. He will be 5 in a few weeks and we've read to him every day since the time he was able to listen without trying to rip out the pages. But it doesn't make you a bad mom for taking it away. Your child will think twice next time!

I hate that with the burning fire of one thousand suns. DS has to really act out at bedtime to lose his story but it's traumatic for all involved when it happens.
