Tips on stoping spiders?

This is ridiculous but maybe someone has some tips?

I live in the country in a 160 year old farm house and there are lots of spiders. They make webs on EVERYTHING. I vacuum them up at least 3 times a week but it feels like I can't keep up. Anyone know any old tricks to stop the spiders.

I'm not really bothered by them, just their webs. I'm thinking if I can't do anything I'll just let the house go for a week before Halloween and we won't have to decorate. Hehe

let in a natural predator such as a lizard that may eat the spiders and is easier to catch later.

I say we had spider issues in our old base housing, but I may over exaggerate a little due to my hate of spiders. But once I saw so many in the house I would start bombing the house once a month until the fall. Then if I found spiders they would be dead as I swept up. But I like bombing because it gets into any cracks and crevices that they go into and kills them.

Look up different essential oils that are good for spider repellent. I know putting it around baseboards, window and door frames, under and around furniture, etc and it's supposed to help get rid of them.

I don't think I want to use any bug bombs in the house because I have a baby. Thank you though!
