If you have a Mothers ring or necklace, did you include your stepkids names/birthstones?
Why or why not?
If you don't have one yet, would you include them or not?
Well, I have 2 stepdaughters, but they seldom visit and I don't really feel like their mother at all. They have a mother and its not me. I have 2 bio sons and I am thinking I only want them on my ring if I ever get one. I love my SDs but I am not their mother.
Quoting Anonymous:No, because my mother's ring was purchased several years before they became my stepchildren.
I don't know if I would now or not, although I fail to see a reason why not ...
I have 5 - 2 that are mine and 3 that are my partners. I don't see them often, but they most certainly are "my kids" (even when I wish they weren't - LOL!). It's different for every family and I don't think there's any one right answer.

No one said you couldn't, every situation is unique and there is no right or wrong answer to my question. I love and treat my s-kids as my own too but they dont live with us, never have and they barely even care to visit anymore since they are teens (preteens one of them). I asked because I am still unsure what I would want to do.
Quoting Chaoz_Girl7311:
My DH got me rings from helzberg diamonds. One ring has our birthstones in it and the other two each have my DDs birthstone and my SDs birthday. I love and treat her asy own so why can't I show that love with a price of Jewelery?!
