Question for Stepmoms

If you have a Mothers ring or necklace, did you include your stepkids names/birthstones?

Why or why not?

If you don't have one yet, would you include them or not?

No, because my mother's ring was purchased several years before they became my stepchildren.
I don't know if I would now or not, although I fail to see a reason why not ...

Well, I have 2 stepdaughters, but they seldom visit and I don't really feel like their mother at all. They have a mother and its not me. I have 2 bio sons and I am thinking I only want them on my ring if I ever get one. I love my SDs but I am not their mother.

I have 5 - 2 that are mine and 3 that are my partners.   I don't see them often, but they most certainly are "my kids" (even when I wish they weren't - LOL!).  It's different for every family and I don't think there's any one right answer.

I would include both my sd's in a mothers ring. We did the same with my moms included all her children, bio & step.

I don't have one, but I would include SS on it. We've been married since before he was 2 (over 8 years now) and he choose to call my mommy Lisa. I know that his mom wouldn't mind either.

My DH got me rings from helzberg diamonds. One ring has our birthstones in it and the other two each have my DDs birthstone and my SDs birthstone. I love and treat SD as if she were my own so why can't I show that love with a price of Jewelery?!

I'm sure if my SO got me one it would have all of the kids stones in there.

No one said you couldn't, every situation is unique and there is no right or wrong answer to my question. I love and treat my s-kids as my own too but they dont live with us, never have and they barely even care to visit anymore since they are teens (preteens one of them). I asked because I am still unsure what I would want to do.
