Is it illegal in your state? It is in mine.

Edit: Alright. I will swallow my pride. I was wrong. Apparently there are very few states with minimum ages. (see Pg 7).

I just can't fathom leaving my child alone asleep or awake in the house for an hour while shopping! (unless they are at least teen age or depending on maturity VERY close to it). I honestly don't see how CPS didn't open a neglect case.

Thank you.

I dont know if it is illegal but I know CPS can step in if you are putting your children in danger.

Thank you. In the fire post she was saying it wasn't illegal.

And to that mom. I didn't get a chance to respond before it got locked.

Here is why I am not a horrible mom: NO. I WAS HOME WHEN IT HAPPENED. I DID NOT ABANDON MY CHILD IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. I DID NOT COME HOME TO NO HOME. I WAS RIGHT THERE. I HELD HER AS WE ALL WATCHED OUR HOME BURN. I GOT HER OUT. I WAS THERE.

Fires happen. We all understand that. What we are in an uproar about is the fact you LEFT YOUR 4yr OLD HOME ALONE FOR AN HOUR TO GO SHOPPING.
