I think our kid got $10 for the first tooth, and he gets $5 for every one now.
according to the View, the average pay-out for a first tooth in the US is $8. all other teeth, $3.
yeah, people do surveys on this crap.
my kids get a toothfairy pillow, book and $1 (gold coin) for the first and just the $1 after that.
My daughter will get 50$.
She will only get 10$ of it (the rest has to go in savings, its a deal we have with her about money she gets as gifts) but she has this huge huge phobia about her teeth.. so its kind of a way to bolster positive rewards associated with her teeth.
Besides if I left her 5$ she'd only get to keep 2$ per the house rules, so its easier to give her the 50$ and watch her eyes widen. :D
(oh grandma on my side is chipping in 10$, grandma & grandpa on dads 20$ dad 10$ and me 10$, which is how we came to 50$, since we cant all have her go to sleep at our homes with the tooth)
Quoting quickbooksworm:$10 and a book for the first tooth. I mix it up after that depending on what's in my wallet lol. $3 here, $5 there, next tooth may get a bunch of rolls of pennies for fun. Our tooth fairy is goofy :)
Quoting o.O....:Lmfao- mine wrote the tooth fairy asking for a MLP train so I'm screwed lol
