Ok, so my oldest DD, Sisika's bus driver is a cranky old lady. I know this already after only 3 school days. I watched her one day while she was stopped outside of our house with the door open yell at Sisika.. "LET'S GOOOO!".. Omg she's 5 and her backpack was heavy that day but whatever.
So anyways, usually she's dropped off between 4:05 and 4:10.. So around 4:08, I'm at the front door on the porch waiting when I see cranky ass in the school bus. It's definitely the right bus (they're color coded on the side). The driver is holding some sort of paper in front of her face (like above the wheel!) as she drives PAST my house (Sisika's stop is at our house). She didn't even slow down.. She just kept going. I figured ok.. She missed the stop. My Dad was a bus driver so I know it happens. She'll be back soon I'm sure. By 4:20ish I start to panic and call the transportation dispatch office. They get the bus driver on the radio and tell me she's coming back to drop off Sisika after the last stop. So finally at like 4:40, the bus pulls up and pissy beard mcgee is ALL smiles and waves as Sisika gets off the bus.
So.. Sisika comes in the house and starts telling me she's sorry. I was like.. Why are you sorry??? Are you ok??? She says "Well.. I'm sorry that I took so long to get home today. My bus driver told me I should have been paying better attention since I forgot to get off where I was supposed to, and it was my own fault I'm late."
My mouth drops.. She was so upset and felt so bad.. I let her know it was NOT her fault and that I WATCHED the bus drive PAST our house. There was no way she could've gotten off. She also told me that once the driver started to drive back to our house, the driver started being really nice to her all of a sudden and smiling lots.
So now Sisika is saying she feels bad and hopes the driver doesn't get in trouble for placing blame on others, and that she probably just felt bad for forgetting about her. Yeah fuck that. I called the transportation office again and reported her. They printed everything off and will be talking to their manager.
So what would you have done? Should I have skipped calling in about her or what..?
Called the driver's supervisor and started getting angry...
I would walk Sisika right up to the bus in the morning and speak with the bus driver. Let her know that you expect your daughter dropped off at the appropriate time and place. Be firm but civil.

Ugh I so want to!! The driver who picks her up is a different driver though. I like her, she's very nice. lol!

Well, then I would be right there when she gets off the bus in the afternoon. I would address this face to face.

I would be talking to the bus driver tomorrow and calling the supervisor. Sounds like the bus driver did that to just be mean.
