SAHM and PA..................................

Posted by Anonymous   + Show Post

Do you think it's ok to be a SAHM and collect government assistance? Do you think women who do so are lazy and use daycare as a excuse?

1 mom liked this
If I'm not writing a check or handing them my debit card, I personally don't give a shit.
Most of the time what little they take out of my check wouldn't buy them toilet paper for a month.
So I have better things to worry about!

I can only answer for myself....I couldn't/wouldn't be a sahm if I needed government assistance.  I have learned long ago, that it really doesn't matter what I think other people should or shouldn't do:)

This woman cannot find a job.
I think women like you who make others on pa feel worse about a bad situation.

No I don't think there is an excuse other then going to school and attempting to find a higher paying job, obviously with no education working a min wage job usually wont pay for daycare, but imo you need to be doing something.....

I think that going to school is also a excuse. Get two jobs like other people do don't rely on the government to take care of your family.

Very very true, but two min wage jobs usually still wont be enough to cover school, and daycare. I agree I did it without taking PA it can be done but I think kids need parents also and I am more willing to support a struggling parent that is attempting to better themselves than a parent willing to do nothing.
