Can your 3 year old count? EDIT

and if so to what number?  (I am talking 3 as just turned 3)

** Thank you Ladies, My daughter is speech delayed, she is doing great now and is talking in 2-3 word sentences, but people who are not around her all the time only understand about 10% of what she is saying. She is now in a developmental preschool, I guess I was just so worried about her speech that I never realized until now that she can not count or recognise her letters. She has been tested and is cognitively at a 4 1/2 year old level (Meaning she understands what they expect a 4 1/2 year old to understand) she just can not count objects or even by rote, and does not recognise any of her letters or numbers. I will have to talk to her teacher or Pediatrician about it this week.

My 2 1/2 year old can count to 20 in English and French.

My 2 year old can count to 20. But it's because I work with her.

Even if they can't, studies show that kids catch up in pre-k and kindergarten. It's exposure, not intelligence.

Yes, and he can get to about 13 then gets mixed up. He turned 3 on August 17th

Yes my dd turned 3 june 17 and she can count to 15. Her brother is almost 5 and in pre school so he tries to act like a teacher to her lol.
