Silly??

I have a friend who lives in a trailer. A guy we know moved in the trailer behind her this past summer. Ever since he moved in she goes over there every afternoon after work and drinks a few beers with him. If there is a strom she runs over there so he can "protect her and her son". There was a strom aproaching this afternoon and she said Well Im going over to Johns if the weather gets bad. I asked her why and she said "He can protect me and my son". Personally I thought it was pretty silly. Maybe I just think its silly because I do everything for myself. I have no male help with anything. I never ask anyone for any help. I handle my own. Would you run to your neighbors or stay home and handle your own?

How is she asking him for anything? It sound like she misses a man being around she probably feels safe around him. Maybe they are dating or she just likes him.

You seem jealous of her having a male figure

Some women just feel safer with a man around.

I think it's pretty obvious that she likes him

I'm capable of handling everything on my own, too, even though I'm married. I think it's very silly.

If I had someone to go to in a situation like that, I would go to them. Whats the problem with being with a friend and feeling safe in a storm?? Just because you feel ok doesn't mean she does and it doesn't mean it's silly to go seek emotional or physical sanctuary when she wants to.
