Today a local hero is being laid to rest. He was killed last week during his deployment in Afghanistan. He only spent 3days with his new wife before being deployed. Our streets are lined with people from the community all the way from the highway to the church his funeral is being held at and down to the funeral home. A good 5mile stretch. He is being buried with full military honors. Thank you to all the men and women in uniform fighting for our freedom! Even for the ungrateful asses that is the westboro baptist church. Yep they are here too.

 Rest in peace PFC Townsend and thank you for your sacrifice. I proudly stand with our men and women in uniform and their sacrifice makes me proud to say that I am an American. No greater love hath a man than one who will lay down his life...and they do this for perfect strangers...gives me chills and I am humbled and honored....God bless his family and friends.

This is so sad. I cried. He was a brave solider! Above all he is a HERO who fought for our country! RIP PFC Townsend! I love being an American and supporting our military!

Heartfelt sorrow for him and his family. Our guys give their lives everyday and deserve the utmost respect. RIP to all the make that ultimate sacrifice we are indebted and proud.

I detest westboro. I hope a bus runs them all over. But they show the very reason our soldiers are fighting for. The freedom to do something so despicable.

I'm so sorry. Though amazing how the community is pulling together. I went to a bootcamp graduation today. Saw 1001 recruits become sailors.
