How does that happen?

I know some one who has full physical custody of her children, BUT the father has full legal custody of their children. In other words. The children live with her full time, but the father is the only one who can make decisions for the children. He only sees them every other weekend and every other Wednesday for dinner.

Seriously though. How does the parent the children live with NOT have the right to make decisions for the children? So ridiculous!

From all I've seen she's a great mom.

What MixedCookie, I think, means is that maybe it's in the papers that they're supposed to be living with the father according to the papers, but he lets them live with her full-time instead.

I could be wrong about her meaning, but that's how I took her comment.

She said they are supposed to bebwith her full time and he pays child support. I don't know. Seems crazy to me. All I know for sure is that the divorce was really messy.

Then perhaps he was able to give just cause as to why she should retain physical custody but can't be trusted to make medical decisions.

Idk. But all you know is what she shows/tells you. That's only one side of the story, KWIM?
