The dust from it.

I want to do a wall each in our girls rooms but DH says the dust from it will ruin our light colored carpet :/

Quoting Gealach:

Like if they color on it? It shouldn't

Quoting twinmommy27:

Does the chalk ruin the carpet?

Quoting Gealach:

Yea. I bought some in the spray can and made a chalkboard bookcase for my dd.

That's what I figured but he's so anal and said it would stain it...
I should just do it anyway. I've wanted to do it for years and the kids would love it.

1 mom liked this
Just like chalkboard paint except you can stick magnets to it. Painting their doors would give us extra space for art work ect. Would come in handy since we have 4 kids.

Quoting ChelleBoo23:

Magnetic paint?

Quoting crazymom21:

I wanna try it in our kids rooms! Also want to paint their doors with the magnetic paint. I think it would be really neat.

This is my 3 yr old DD's room.  WE love it and have so much fun.  She has had it since we bought the house almost 2 yrs ago.  Its just a paint.  Takes 2 coats and it helps if you sand the wall down so its nice and smooth. it works awesome.

No it doesn't stain the carpet.  I just shampoo once in awhile but them again I shampoo everywhere on a semi regular basis I think thats a requirement of having carpet personally.  I have cream colored carpet

I find it hard to erase and on a textured wall hard to draw. But the kids like it

You gotta sand the wall first :)
