Because he's smart. He knows that our country can not continue to spend money the way we have been, and is willing to make the hard cuts that are necessary to bring spending down. He understands that a government the size of ours must be run like a business because otherwise it will fail. He also understands how business owners think, and realizes that penalizing small business owners is in no ones best interests, unless that person is on welfare. He understands the limitations of the Constitution, and understands that unless a right is given to the Federal government specifically by the Constitution, that right remains in the states' power.

I agree, although I'd argue that the social issues ARE important because they are draining the economy. We simply can't create jobs when companies have hiring stalled awaiting the impact of Obamacare. We simply can't reduce the deficit when he spends like a dunkin' sailor on entitlement programs. We simply can't defend this nation when he'd rather provide free birth control and abortions than military programs.
