To love and care for your step children as if they were your own. That's all that really matters.

this isn't going to end well.

It really depends on the situation. I'm raising my SS full time and right now, am the only one financially suppporting him. I took on all the responsibilities his mother should have, but doesn't want

According to what I've seen on CM, you better pay for them when your DH can't, feed them, wash their clothes and kiss their asses. Just don't ever discipline them or show any authority.

Depends on the dynamics of THAT particular family.  There is no one size fits all.  You have it run the gamut from NONE to ALL depending.

Whatever you and the Father/family decide upon before marriage.  It's individual, BUT I'm always surprised how many people tie the not into a blended family without talking about that.

This is very situational. But a SM isn't "obligated" to do anything.

This a question that just does not have the same answer for every blended family.
