I went to pick up some milk tonight at Walmart cause its always the cheapest there.....4 bucks for a gallon of milk. It's even more at the other stores. 4.20,4.50 at all stores. Crazy. It was just 3.68 three days ago.
How much is milk by you?

I can't wait till we move back home our food bill will be cut in HALF. Milk is still 3 bucks there. I looked a sales flyer from where were moving and can't beleive how much cheaper food is there than here. Our food bill will be cut in half or more. We spend 500 a month for three of us. And that doesn't go far. That's with using coupons and sales flyers and meal planning. And my rule of never buying anything that's not on sale and that I don't have a coupon for. Ill only be spending about 200-250 for the same thing when we move. Can't wait. Anyway milk! How much is it by you? How much do you spend on food for how many people. I'm always curious.

We buy half gallons of lactose free milk, so it's already more expensive.

I have no clue. No one in my house drinks it. But I heard by next summer it will be $5 a gallon.

I buy mine at Costco. I think it's somewhere around $6 for two.

I just bought milk at Aldi for 99 cents on friday.... eggs were 29 cents. And bread was 49 cents. I loooove that place for the basics!
Yeah, yeah- I know Aldi is trashy, dirty, or any other adjectives you feel like using. Just figured I would save the bashers some time from flipping out that it's wrong to shop there ;) lol

DS CAN drink alternatives now, but because he was milk free for so long (his first three years), he doesn't like anything but chocolate. I rather he drink unflavored almond milk than chocolate (or any) cow's milk any day.

Quoting vanityrayne:

Same here. That's all my DD can drink.

Quoting mom2ljh:

Eh, whatever. I just paid $3 for a half gallon of almond milk.

.......I am in the most expensive city to live in the United States and I spend 340.00 a month or a little more to feed a family of three AND I am pregnant. We are also the highest paid minimum wage workers in the U.S.

I think you're buying extremely expensive food or exaggerating.
