Miserable!

If your husband, boyfriend, girlfriend, fiancée, significant other were at a job they hated! Just because the pay was good, and benefits were good. And you hated where you lived. And they got the opportunity for a job that they would like or love, at a lower pay, not as good benefits, but in a place you have wanted to move, would you encourage him/her to take the job?

Let me know if that doesn't make sense. Thanks.

Well, we've come across this situation before, but my husband refuses to move away from family.  I would love to move for a better job/home, but we both have to feel good about it and right now he doesn't agree with me.

As long as you would be able to afford necessary bills, then of course! People who hate their jobs tend to go nowhere, as opposed to those who love what they do -they tend to get promoted a little faster.

Yes move. Especially if there is room to move up eventually. I think being happy is more important than money as long as you can live reasonably.
