How long

Do you let your little one ( still in a crib) play in the morning before you go in to get them ? If ds wakes up happy I let him hang out in there for a few minutes so I can snooze off an on. He likes to blow raspberries , squeal and giggle and as long as he's happy I don't see the harm in self entertainment for 10 minutes or so !

I love when he does that lol I usually cross my fingers that he will fall back asleep if he wakes up before 7

Exactly , I've always appreciated a few minutes to stretch and wake up so I'm sure he does too. We still use a baby monitor so I can hear him , loud and clear lol !

I have to give my DD2 time to wake up on her own. If I go in there the minute she gets up, it's an instant bad mood - and we all know how bad that sucks. LOL

I don't see anything wrong with letting your LO sit in there for a few minutes. As long as you know that he is safe, and as long as you can hear him..

Yep , sometimes I find he's dry if I go in right away but other times he's not. He's only pooped twice in the morning so far but he's sure to let me know if he did. Lol

I bedshare, but my son sleeps late. He didn't wake up until 10 this morning. He rarely wakes up before me.

When my youngest was still in a crib he wouldn't make a peep when he woke up. He'd play in his crib for a while and then when he was ready to get out he'd call for me (loud "yelling" and then "mamaaaa" when he could talk). I never saw anything wrong with letting himself for a little while. Even now he's four and he gets up before me and plays for a while before coming get me (whether I'm still asleep or just doing things downstairs).

With my older two, as soon as they were up, the whole house was awakened. Amazing how very different each child is.
