When is it okay to feed my dd strawberries she's 12 months?

I think she was being sarcastic. I gave my dd strawberries before 12 months.

We did. We just gave a small amount to make sure they were not allergic.

don't they make those freeze dried strawberries in the gerber packages?  I know they have strawberries in some of the stage 2 or 3 baby food, so I think you're safe.  I was giving mine strawberries at about 4 months (though the recommendations were different then than they are now for solids).

I gave my son pureed strawberries at 9 months after talking with his peditriacian. We started with a tiny tiny tiny amount to make sure he wasn't allergic, but once he showed no signs we continued to give it to him. He loved it.
