When is it okay to feed my dd strawberries she's 12 months?

I think you can try a couple now.  Don't go overboard just in case she doesn't tolerate acidic things very well.

Neither of my kids could tolerate any kind of berries as toddlers because when it came out in their poo, it burned their skin and opened up blisters and their butt would be raw for days at a time.  My 3.5 year old can eat berries now that she is potty trained (for over a year now) since no acidic poop has to touch her skin when it comes out into a diaper.  My 17 month old is still in diapers so no berries for him. :(

don't they make those freeze dried strawberries in the gerber packages?  I know they have strawberries in some of the stage 2 or 3 baby food, so I think you're safe.  I was giving mine strawberries at about 4 months (though the recommendations were different then than they are now for solids).

i'm waiting til my dd is three. but if you try very small amounts, there are plenty of kids that make it out of toddlerhood alive after eating them.

the reason they are so dangerous is because of the seeds.
