Are YOUR kids allowed to play with guns?

This is one of the big no-nos that seem to cause so much controversy. I always smirk and roll my eyes when someone says how they do not allow their kids to play with guns ever. My brothers and I played with them, hell we even shot BB guns (with adult supervision) and we never tried to kill anyone. And never thought guns were something to play with. So, do you let your kids play with guns? *Fake guns people*
They are allowed to play with nerf guns and squirt guns. We are teaching them how to handle real guns. Tey have so far only shot bb guns since it is all we have at the moment, but we will be getting a 22 soon and teach them that. I hunted from when I was little and want my kids to learn how to handle them correctly
fake until age of 10 then bb with supervision , gun rules strictly enforcedwith the bb gun, and when I feel they are ready they get a hunting gun
yes they do. Squirt guns, toys not a huge deal to me or my husband.
My kids both have toy guns, and my oldest dd will be getting her first bb gun in a year or so. Probably for her 6th birthday, going at the rate she is. My girls both love going "hunting" in our living room. They like to "shoot" their stuffed animals, then they get all excited, and have to run and tell daddy they shot a bear (or a duck, or a rabbit, lol).
