Not yet, but she started asking recently. She will be 6 in December and I'm thinking about taking her for her birthday (if she's still asking then) and then getting her some earrings for Christmas.

If you don't mind me asking what state do you live in?
Quoting SB2217:
I would've happily done it sooner but here they have to be 6 months minimun for them to do it, so I had no choice but to wait. The sooner you do it the better. If they would've let me do it sooner I wouldn't have thought about it twice. The youngest the better because then, they won't even try to mess/touch their ears so they'll heal very nice and fast.

1 mom liked this
She got it done for her birthday when she turned 6, but was devastated that she had to take them out for soccer about 2 months later. (Our league rules state no jewelry, including the tiny stud earrings). She never wanted to get them done again. She is 11 now, and still doesn't want them. My older DD (12) doesn't have hers done either.

When they ask and we feel they can be responsible for them. After our 7 year old got them. My 5 year old said I don't ever want them. So we talked with her that that is ok. It is her body and she has every right to say no.
