My 3 year old is on day 4 of a pretty yucky cold. Last night started the nonstop coughing fits. I have done vicks, humidifier, shower steam to help loosen the phlegm, spoonful of honey to help with the cough. Hot chocolate and soup. She said her throat doesn't hurt, so that's good. (I had strep last month, and am fully expecting it soon as my oldest brings it home from school multiple times during the winter) Yesterday her voice started cracking a little and she got scared. None of the kids have ever lost their voice while sick, so that is new. She doesn't seem to have phlegm anymore, the cough is dry. But I feel so bad because it's so much. I know I get a dang headache from coughing so much when sick...and at least we can take stuff for it. She is only 3.5, so nothing over the counter for her. You would think with her being my 3rd, I would know. But this cough just blows.
Yes, I am aware You aren't doctors, blah, blah, (as some ALWAYS have to chime in and say)
