How long do you plan on keeping your baby rear facing?

If you are undecided please watch youtube videos. It was a real eyeopener for me!!

I would like to buy a convertible seat that rear faces. If you have one what do you love or hate about it?

My son has a true fit which he has 10 more pounds with and another slot... He will be 2 in dec and I was thinking of turning him in the spring or summer. We will see how he grows in the mean time.

My oldest was rear-facing for much longer than other kids are. I was going by her weight, and she was a real little lightweight. Her doctor finally told me to turn her around...not because her weight was up to par...but because her legs were so long, she had to fold them yoga style to sit rear-facing.

My oldest rear-faced about that long, but the doctor considered that really long. Grin...

My youngest rf until 3yrs 3mo old. I had the My Ride65 which I liked. I also have an Evenflo Momentum that he used rf for about 6mo. There are lots of great seats out there. Join the car seat safety group and they can help you!

I rear faced dd until age 2 and a half. I only forward faced her because she kept getting carsick and throwing up all over.

I hope to as long as possible, but my baby is huge. He's 9 months and almost 30 pounds. He's not fat either, just tall and big.
