Is such a sad book. Finally read it and I cried after the first few pages. I swear the things in that book made my stomach turn and heart ache.
What was your opinion on the book?
Reading a book like that makes you grateful for the little things in life.

You should read the rest of the series. He turns out pretty good. It was heart wrenching to read.

I've read it and it's been over 10 years ago and I still very vividly remember things that were done to him.... I can't fathom EVER doing anything so heinous and cruel to my child :-( and for the father to leave is just fucked up... .

I always wanted to read that book, but I still haven't been able to force myself through that emotional roller coaster. I saw his interviews with Oprah and that was heart wrenching as it was.

It's a very sad story. Have you read the other two books that go along with it? The first and second book made me teary eyed, especially the first. Absolutely horrible how he was treated.
