He made fun of my bush

Posted by   + Show Post

SO and I were chatting the other night, and we were talking about sex.

He out of nowhere said "OH yeah, you're kind of hairy down there..."

After the initial shock wore off, I explained that my vagina in particular is prone to infections more than others, or at least it seems that way. I keep a bush down there (tamed and groomed, of course) because IMO, it helps prevent those infections. The times I shave it all completely, I end up with a yeast infection or BV.

Anyone else have that?

Before you ask, no I do not expect him to go down with my hair, because he didn't when I had no hair.

My creator made me strong enough to withstand any fear, terror, or trauma.
My creator gave me the will to fight for any and everything I love.
Yet, my creator made me soft enough to have love and compassion.
I'm still standing, on my own two feet.
I was born into this world to fight, and it's painful, but I am accepting of the challenge.

my ex hated porn because the women were mostly shaved. he said it reeks of men who have pedophile tendancies.

Well, I used to go once every 4-6 weeks to get waxed. The average cost in San Diego is between $45 and $55. Any higher and you're dealing with an esthetician who either doesn't know how to do brazilians or doesn't like doing them so she charges too much. I'm an ex spa director so I know. You definitely do not want to go to someone who charges more as she will be inexperienced.

However, I've gotten about 6 sessions of Brazilian laser hair removal and since then, my hair grows in so sporadically that I've only needed to get waxed once every two months. I can't wait to get more laser sessions but they are expensive and I don't have the money right now.

What is the average cost? How often do you do it?

Quoting reesesami:

It does hurt but it stops hurting immediately afterwards. And after a few times, it hurts much less. You will be hairless for about two weeks and then some hair will start to grow back but since the hair follicles grow in different cycles, it will be pretty thin. It's completely worth it.

Quoting KarmaP2:

Does waxing hurt? And how long til you need to wax again?.... I shave but its so much work and i have thought about waxing but i worry it hurts..

Quoting reesesami:

I don't see why shaving would give you a yeast infection. That seems like something I would talk with a doctor about. In my opinion, I feel MUCH cleaner and healthier down there without hair but I get waxed because I don't like shaving.

I'm the opposite, I get more infections when I don't groom. I don't take a bic to it but I do keep it trimmed. I would prefer a wax but I just don't like going every two to three weeks.

My boyfriend doesn't care as long as it's clean and tidy, he keeps himself clean and tidy also.

This. And certain body washes.

Quoting vilseck21:

If you are prone to infection stay away from synthetic panites, only wear cotton ones.  That will make a 100% diffrence.
