It's probably not shaving itself that give you the yeast infection/BV... You are probably getting whatever you use to shave(shave gel, soap, etc.) in your vag, which is throwing off your pH making the bacteria/fungus grow too much. Maybe try showering with warm water then dry it off and use some water based lube to shave. Soaps should never even get into your vulva because it can dry you out and make it easy to get infections.

It does hurt but it stops hurting immediately afterwards. And after a few times, it hurts much less. You will be hairless for about two weeks and then some hair will start to grow back but since the hair follicles grow in different cycles, it will be pretty thin. It's completely worth it.

Does waxing hurt? And how long til you need to wax again?.... I shave but its so much work and i have thought about waxing but i worry it hurts..

I don't see why shaving would give you a yeast infection. That seems like something I would talk with a doctor about. In my opinion, I feel MUCH cleaner and healthier down there without hair but I get waxed because I don't like shaving.

Also shaving soap can throw off the ph balance

The hair on your body is there for a reason. It traps bacteria and keeps it from entering your orifices.

What is the average cost? How often do you do it?

The first time my husband and I had sex the next day he said "I wasn't expecting 70's bush " I looked at him and said "from here out you should expect bush at all " I shave almost completely now, but it all depends. My bikini line is always clean and it's never a wild jungle down there.
