Some people... i just dont know....VENT

So i was at work ALL DAY!


Today i had a client come in. She had her husband, 4 month old baby and 2 old kids. a boy and a girl. 

WELL, i wasnt able to help her right away due to the fact i already had a client i was working with. Well she decided to be VERY loud complaining about how she drive and hour to come here and i cant even help her. 

I excused myself from the client i was already and heres the convo

me: kim, if you can give me a little bit as soon as i finish with this client i can help you

Kim: when i talked to you on the phone you told me you have a 6pm open and now you cant help me?

me: kim, it is only 5:30. I did tell you on the phone i have a 5pm client and a 7pm client. I asked you if you wanted to book the 6pm and you told me no because you did not know if you would be here by 6pm.  As it is right now, it is 5:30pm and i am with my 5pm client. as soon as i finish with her i will be with you. 

Kim: i drove an hour and you are going to tell me you are not going to help me?

me: kim, that is not what i said. i just explained to you as soon as i am finished with the client i am with i will help you. 

Kim: well why didnt you call me to tell me you couldnt fit me in?

me: i just stated i can fit you in. AFTER i finish with the client i am currently with. Excuse me so i can finish with her and then help you

Kim: ugh whatever.  shit pissing me off


So i walked back to finish with my client. Well that did not work out right. Kim kept sending her kids to check and see what we were doing. Then talking loudly about having to wait her turn. 

i then asked kim to please keep her voice down so i can finish and then help her. 

she started bitching yet again. 

I apologized to the client i was with and she smiled at me and told me it is not my fault. She then told me that Kim is making her very uncomfortable. She then asked me if she can make another appt for tomorrow to finish up what we were doing. I told her that was fine and i apologized again. 

She again told me it was not my fault but she would rather leave then have a possible confrontation with the lady for the way she talked to me in. 


sigh, tomorrow HAS to be better.

Some people think life is just all about them, and pair egocentric behavior with stupidity. Not fun, not fun at all. I'm sorry you had to put up with that. The other client was smart, just going ahead and leaving.. but you were stuck. So sorry! Are you done with her at least?

I get that.  And its certainly not something that should happen regularly, however a business has the right to refuse service to an abusive client.  Perhaps an employee doesn't without a boss's approval....but in this case, the client had the potential to cost that business other clients.

LOL  And seriously, I roll the hell out of my eyeballs when someone here complains about a Walmart employee, etc.  I certainly don't put a lot of stock in their "story."

In that case, I'm sorry you were in a position to be abused without recourse.  I would certainly bring that issue up with my boss in the near future.
