The thought of children enjoying hunting bothers me....S/O

I understand that many people hunt for food and that's fine. Someone has to do it. The thing that gets me is when small children are SO happy about finally getting the chance to kill a deer. My 6 year old cries at those humane society commercials(yes she really cries lol). If I even suggested her shooting a deer she would not be happy with me.

I just don't understand how a child would want to shoot an animal.

That's just my opinion on the matter. If you don't agree, that's ok too!

I agree. I think it's sick and teaching a kid to enjoy taking any life that young is just wrong imo.

I cry at those commercials. Animals should not be abused or neglected. When I shoot a deer, it is very quick and clean. It lived a good, free, happy life, unlike most of the cows and chickens raised in this country! And died a quick death so I can eat.

It's just a different lifestyle and view.  I hunted as a child but still cried when I watched Bambi. lol  I'd rather a child learn to hunt and know what goes into their food than a child have no clue that their steak was a cow. lol

The woman in the avi pic is not me, she is my inspiration.  I am a wife, a mother, and an aspiring trainer and nutritionist. I love seeing people get fit and healthy to lead the lives they are meant to live.
