Our neighborhood always does Trick or Treat the Saturday evening before Halloween. Here are my kids in their costumes last night!!

We made this costume from my old high school graduation gown. He already had the hat and the wand so it only cost $3 for a bottle of fabric paint from Joann Fabrics. I'm not artistic so the stars didn't come out as nice as I was hoping, but he still liked it!!

With the exception of the jacket, which belonged to my grandfather, his entire costume came from thrift stores. The hat, shirt and pants came from Goodwill and the whip came from the Salvation Army. Everything cost about $10-12 total!!

Nice job. The second one reminds me of Indiana Jones.

Very creative! Love his jacket. He looks like a real explore.
Thanks!! That jacket belonged to my grandfather. I got it from my parents when we were visiting them in SC a couple of weeks ago, and thought it would be perfect for an Indiana Jones costume! It was nice and warm too, which we definitely needed last night. It was raining and COLD!!!
