Say everyone had to pay 15% in taxes - off of their gross income.

Flat tax will be the burden of those of us not rich enough to get off./

No, I don't think it's fair.

The percentage is not fair. 15% to poor and middle class people is a lot more than the people who make $250k+. I believe in the progressive tax system.

Ooh.  I like this idea!

If everyone pays 15 cent per dollar, I don't see it as unfair. It's equal for everyone.

I voted fair but I think the percentage should be lower and I think health care should be free or drastically reduced.

I think there should be a flat national sales tax and no income tax.  BUT if we could get a flat income tax to pass that would be my second choice and I seriously doubt once all loop holes where gone and most of the staff of the IRS and the printing budget for all the nes laws ETC all the things that run up the bill surrounding the implemation of our crazy tax code that it wouldn't need to be as high as 15%.

I voted "other"--I'm for a flat tax, but it should be 10%.

IMO this would have to be done as a package deal for it to work--minimum wage would be automatically adjusted to keep up with inflation (high enough so that minimum wage workers don't also need food stamps to survive or buy health insurance with what's left) and basic health care would be provided to all (single-payer so rates can be negotiated and public cost isn't  outrageous).

They've done studies that show a 10% worldwide flat tax would provide every person in the world with basic food, shelter and medical care.

Not fair, those with lower income it would hurt, higher income it wouldn't bother.

I like the FAIR tax, not the FLAT tax.. Two different ideas. One is a flat tax across the board, the other is a heavy tax on luxury items and no tax on basic needs.

Hahaha.  Yes.  I don't know why the way she worded it sounded better.  Duh.
