UGH - I am in the middle of a divorce right now and he and I are cordial - however, he did not want the divorce, so he will not pay for anything. It is $225 plus having to certify it and mail it to him... it takes 30 days for the divorce process to go through (or if it's signed by both parties... whichever is first).

His sister got divorced and all she had to go was go to the library and print out the divorce papers... she lives in GA, though. I dunno if NC is the same way..

Sadly, I probably wouldn't. Because I didn't have the money to leave I gave our marriage a real effort and we worked things out. That was several years ago. But it took both of us working hard to make it work.
