Someone posted this the other day and it has stuck with me.

Why do people get more assistance when they have more kids? If they do, shouldn't we get paid more at work when we have another child?

Ha, good point.

I really think PA should NOT go up when you have a child while still on it.  It just gives people incentive to have more babies.  And before some one tells me otherwise, I know it's not "everyone" (I am on food stamps myself) but I have heard conversations in stores and I've had people tell me to my face that's why they keep having kids.

One conversation I overheard "gurl I just put mah boyfriend's chirren on my food stamps since he be having them somtimes I got lot more food stamps nah"

It goes up because the income is less. More family members, less income.

Google and my husbands company give you a bonus for pro-creating. It's rather awesome.

So if I am not on pa and I get pregnant, my boss should pay me more right?

I wish my income went up because I had more family members, sigh...

I don't believe in welfare at all so giving anyone anything for nothing is against what I believe makes sense.

One of my SIL's keeps popping out kids for that reason. She has had 2 kids in less than 2 years and is currently pregnant AGAIN 8 weeks after a miscarriage. She also has a 3 year old that her parents take care of and only wants back b/c her fs will go up. She is 21. She doesn't take care of the kids she has and they keep popping them out. She won't work b/c she'll lose her fs/medicaid. It's disgusting and I can't stand the girl. She keeps giving excuses why she won't get birth control.
