My husband makes $207,500 per year. Which means that every two weeks he makes $7,980. After all of the deductions, he brings home $5,484. That is still a lot of money every two weeks and we are very lucky. What makes me mad is that he has $2,496 taken out of every. single. check.

How is that fair?

We are part of the upper middle class. With all the deductions, it's no wonder the middle class is shrinking.

The math isn't anywhere close to fair. He makes $207,500, but $69,000 of it we never see due to taxes, insurance, and retirement (technically we will see that one day).

EDIT: I feel that everyone should have to pay the same PERCENTAGE in taxes. That was my point.

Do you think it's fair that we pay back basically 1/2 of his salary? Do think it would be fair if someone that made $30,000 paid back 1/2 of their's? I don't.

$2,496 taken out in taxes alone? That's pretty ridiculous.

Or, does that amount include your insurance and retirement? Cause I wouldn't include that, you use your insurance and your retirement you will back one day.

Otherwise, I do agree that the middle class is unjustly taxed.

Neither do I. Hubby works his ass off. Ed a truck driver and gone all the time. He's always working. And he gets $350 a week. That like $1,400 a month... I wouldn't be complaining if I were her.
