my in laws popped in yesterday for a visit. they had been here awhile when my 13month old wanted to nurse. he hits me, pulls at my shirt and says baba. my mil told him that its nasty you dont need that. she said it a few times. so i sat in my favorite chair and nursed him. i can tell Thanksgiving is going to be a blast....
Thank you for your advice. I am going to try to stand up to her a little more.
My fb now says (to bad she is blocked lol she could take the hit)
"It is illegal to harass a mother breastfeeding in public or to ask her to cover up. If you still have a problem feel free to call the police. You can explain to them why you are breaking the law." the next time ____ says something about how nasty breastfeeding is I am just going to hand her the phone!
Teaching nursing manners is also very important for toddlers.
we are working on it. i was trying to get him to wait and he was not having it

it would not have been an issue if i could feel 100% comfortable in my own home

It's hard when they want a drink and do not understand why they can't.
