Best birth control?

In a couple of weeks I have an appointment to have the paragard put in. I'm not quite sure what to expect. I don't really like the idea of a foreign object hanging out in my uterus but dh doesn't want me tying my tubes because he is in this fantasy land that I will want more kids later on.

I met my deductible this year so I have until the end of the year to get something done since it will be 100% paid for. I don't want to take the pill anymore, it screws with my periods (I'm on the mini pill, I can't have estrogen), makes me bloated, it doesn't help my acne, I forget to take it, and even if I did take it I don't remember if I did most of the time.

Does anyone know much about the paragard?

Also, do any of you ladies know much about tubal ligation through the cervix? How long does it take to heal, how long is the hospital stay, and do they put you under anesthesia for it?

I have thought about just not having sex anymore so I can avoid any of these lol, I am trying to avoid surgery and pain in general...but that's not realistic... =\

A quarter. Put it on your knee and cross legs.

Seriosly, I had the Mirena and hated it. Got it taken out.

I like that there are no hormones but what about that string that hangs there? Do you feel it and was the procedure painful? Did they numb you at all?

I have heard the Mirena can make you bleed/cramp for months at a time. It did that to my mom. I don't want that one at all.
